Jealous of all your lucky friends heading out to Coachella this weekend? (Yeah, you should be.) Well, if it's any consolation, the Tadasana Yoga and Music Festival will be in our communal backyard tomorrow through Sunday, spreading granola-friendly love across the beaches of Santa Monica. The festival will feature 60 celebrated yoga instructors, with classes given in various themed tents, accompanied by live musical performances. Bring your yoga mat!
You can seek silence in the mornings through meditation, and you can find guidance in the afternoon in their "Love Lounge," where speakers will share their wisdom on yoga, health and sustainability. And at night the musicians come out again to play. (Don't forget your tambourine.)
When you've had your fill of OM, you can also peruse the 70 booths at their Eco-Village, enjoy a bite at the Organic Food Court, or just take a walk on the beach.
By the end of the weekend, you'll feel rejuvenated - and when you see the wretched faces of all the raggedy Coachella survivors on Monday morning, maybe a little vindicated, too.
Tickets are still on sale: $99 for a one-day pass and $295 for all three days.
