Revolving 100-beer collection. Friendly communal tables. Exotic elk sausage. Sexy patio fireplace. If this hasn't been enough already to lure you to Steingarten LA, which straddles the Cheviot Hills and West LA neighborhoods, maybe tomorrow night will be the tipping point. As part of an intoxicating tour of our town, Deschutes Brewery will mosey over to the Westside in a hoppy truck at 6pm, rare specialties in tow - including one of my favorites, The Abyss, and the heretofore unreleased Black Butte XXII.
Brewer Robin Johnson will school the crowd on the science behind a good cold one and delight with a tasting and pairing session, so head over thirsty and hungry!
