Summer has arrived to LA (#knockonwood #nojunegloomplease) and to celebrate the season the Getty will keep its doors open until 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights from June 1 through September 22.
Consider killing a few birds with one stone and visiting June 16, for Saturdays Off the 405, when "pitch-perfect powerhouse" Allen Stone will lay down his catchy, soulful beats against the backdrop of sunset.
He starts around 6pm, but go a little early so you can take a gander at the Herb Ritts: L.A. Style exhibition, which highlights an "aesthetic that incorporated facets of life in an around Los Angeles" (ie celebrities + desert/beach/cars). Ritts is also known for giving somewhat of a PR makeover to gay and lesbian culture during the 80's and 90's, when AIDS had become synonymous with homosexuality.
